First, they can be compared with revenge for the pain inflicted in the past, then, with the birth of Tanya, her feeling is modified for the better. But the tale quickly ends after Gregory’s call to war and the death of their daughter. A woman tries to forget her love, but all her attempts are empty. Meetings of heroes are also filled with passion, as at the beginning of their romantic journey.
After the death of Natalia, Aksinya takes custody of her children. Gregory offers to turn a new page in life and go to the Kuban. But, unfortunately, the heroine dies from an accidental wound and dies in the arms of her most beloved person.
Throughout the novel, the heroine is looking for a calm place, a family haven, quiet happiness, but she is hindered by different life situations. A woman is capable of making a strong sacrifice for the sake of love, because without this feeling her life loses all meaning.
